Elironda watched as the wagon vanished as she shook her head. "Gar, you turned your back on your own friends and left them in my hand," she said coldly. She wasn't happy with this current development but realized it was coming. She went out of her way to save slavers life while the rest of the party had risked their own to save hers. Then when Dimple tired to kill the very man that was able to order her death, she once more showed her colors, and saved the Hobgoblin's life. "Could it be that Gar no longer considers them friends," she asked. But then thought of the look on Gar's face as she took the wagon and left. It then dawned on her that she left with the assumption that she simply could just take the wagon without asking.

"I guess where she is from, the steeling from your friends is okay," she mumbled under her breath. Not that Eli really cared about the wagon. But in that simple action, she realized that she and Gar were more alike than they first imagined.

"While I hope she is successful, we have larger concerns," she said turning to Arwen. She raised her voice so that all the party members could hear her. Farrali, Dimple, Kaleb" she yelled getting their attention. She waited till she had everyone around to speak.

She turned to Arwen's mother, "we don't have much time. You and your people need to select a leader. Also we need every horse and wagon from the foundry. Only the wounded and weak. All other able bodies walk. Plus, we need to know of anyone that has some kind of weapon training." She realized it was a long shot but they needed to know where they stood.

She turned to the party, "Gar has chosen to abandon you because we choose," she paused and let out a deep sigh of sadness. "I choose, to free these slaves. She has turned her back on them and all of you. Instead of remaining with us, she has took off with her two Hobgoblin friends and is currently seeking her original plan. We don't have much time," she said with a hint of urgency. "Kaleb, you have the map of the realms. We need the fastest route to a large river. Here is my plan. We will send for Arwen's ship via my familiar. We will explain what is going on and ask them to notify neighboring Kingdoms for help. At the same time, we march for the coast. Its a six day march from here. I know that this plan would be hard on our new charges but if we force march this, we can get there and to safety. Once our charges are safe, then we worry about the crown."

She drew in a deep breath, "I had hoped that Gar would see this as an opportunity to help muster this band in to a raiding force that could free more slaves as we lured the King from the Capital. Unfortunately for us, Gar has taken to heading to the Capital. Her foolishness has now placed all of them in even greater danger. The King has the Crown. With it, he will know all that she knows. Which means that he will know our first plan."

She looked down in sadness, "look I know its not great, but its the best I got. Does anyone have any comments, ideas, or concerns?"

She gave one horse to Sahltie, while the other hobgoblin saddled up in front of her. The half-orc glanced sideways at Salhtie, trying to get a read on him, though she knew she was never any good at it. She could only judge people by their actions and deductive reasoning. Traveling into the hobgoblin capital with the two of them was going to be a very dangerous gamble.Â

The night was still until the sounds of crashing thunder echoed through the forest. It was an ominous sound that something changed. Gone was the sneak in and sneak out plan. A little while later, the forest rang with the sounds of elves laughing and singing. The moved through the forest in a disorganized gaggle. It didn’t take Gar long to see Arwen leading the group with her mother by her side. High above Elironda flew cover. The group descended upon the campsite in no time.
Â
Elironda knew that Gar would be upset. She knew that this could be a very touchy situation. She knew that she had lied to Gar. She knew that this completely changed everything Gar was planning for. Elironda simply didn’t care. They were elves, They were her people. Unlike Gar, she was unwilling to 'sacrifice them for some assumed greater good'. They were being enslaved by a barbaric group of monsters. Eli was many things, but she was no traitor to her people. She couldn’t, she wouldn’t have condemned them to one more day as slaves. Arwen’s mother was just the accuse she needed to gain the support of the others, and she took it. Eli had hoped that Gar would have turned her opinion around, but she didn’t. When Eli saw Gar lounging at the campsite with the very monsters that had enslaved these beings, it angered her. She had no expectations of gaining help from the Half-Orc, but she had expected Gar to help Arwen liberate Arwen’s own mother. No, Elironda couldn't have cared less about any plans. She did the right thing.
Â
Confident in her choice, still Eli was cautious as she landed. She made sure to keep a safe distance from Gar. She didn’t know what to expect from the hothead. But beyond that, Eli couldn’t hide the shit eating grin either, “There were nineteen hobgoblins. Eighteen have joined their maker. There was nothing we could do to stop one from escaping,” She explained truthfully. “You will be happy to know, that mother and daughter have been reunited,” she said motioning towards Arwen and her mother as they walked up.

Elironda’s feet hit the ground with all the grace of any bird. As she transitioned from flight to walking, she folded her wings around her. She really didn't care about the preparations the party were taking. She really didn't care for the plan, but it was the best she could come up with that would keep Gar from driving the party in to slavery. She walked with determination towards Arwen as the party was loading up. Eli placed her hand on Arwen’s shoulder as she spoke in elvish, “Sheep are moved in wagons,” she said softly. She made a point to glance around, “creatures of prey stalk their victims.”
Â
She pointed to trees, “the wagons have to move at a slower pace due to their load and maintaining spacing. There should be no reason why we can't keep up while moving off the road.” She smiled as she continued to speak in elvish and nodded, “anyway, I want to speak with you…” she glanced at the rest of the party, “alone.”

"Well, that was fun" Kaleb said as he looped fastened his belt in the aftermath of the fight. Three hobgoblins lay in crimson snow, a fourth being spared. Guards to the temple the party finds themselves in front of. This could become troublesome. The party were in this cold, mountainous region to partake in a trial of combat in order to gain entry to speak with the hobgoblin rulers. Back home, their actions would have landed them in prison. According to the stories Kaleb has heard about about hobgoblins, the ruler might have the surviving guard executed for depending on a strength potion at the beginning of the fight instead of giving his all before having to rely on cheap tricks. "I'll worry about the diplomacy later" Kaleb thought to himself as he looked around. Seeing Elironda, Arwen, and Dimple advancing to the surviving guard, he called out "We might need that one, guys." Noticing some minor looking wounds on Gar, Kaleb pulled out his wand of minor cure wounds and and pointed it at her. She wouldn't ask for the healing, but he'd rather be safe than sorry. "Anyone else hurt?"

The first rays of morning timidly peaked over the horizon as a hulking, muddy figure of Gar made her way into the town, something thick and heavy hanging from her back. As the sun continued its ascent, and Gar continued her trek through the houses of the settlement, the expanding dim light gently revealed the half-orc's smudged, tired face and the glazed eyes of a dead hog that hung over her shoulder. She noticed a familiar Inn, for she could not read the flowery "Dew Drop Inn" sign that hung above the bright pink door, and approached it, giving it a few firm, resonating knocks with her beefy knuckles.Â

A portly female dwarf answered, squeaked in surprise, and almost slammed the door back in Gar's face. "Oh! Sorry, dearie--uh, Miss--uh, I apologize," the rosie-cheeked lass stuttered, covering with a nervous laugh, "I hardly recognized ya under all that mud! Come, come--" she yelled over her shoulder, "Borris!! She brought another one!!"

Gar grunted indifferently, "Morning, Mary."

A couple of stocky male dwarves greeted Gar at the door and relieved her of her dead prize, carrying it to the back entrance of the Inn. Mary ushered the half-orc inside and showed her to a table in the corner. It was a cozy inn with simple, round wooden tables and chairs with colorful cushions tied to the seats. Little knick-knacks and novelties decorated the walls and ceiling.Â

"Shall I draw a bath for ya, Miss?" asked Mary shyly, dabbing her forehead with her apron, seeming a bit flustered still.

"Won't be necessary," answered Gar gruffly, "Just the usual."

Mary hesitated, a little disconcerted that her guest was refusing to bathe, but she bit her tongue and nodded. "Of course, I'll skip to it!" she said heartily, departing into the kitchen through a pair of swinging doors with flowers carved into the wood.
