Captain's Ready Room

Captain's Ready Room
The Captain's ready room.

When walking in from the bridge the first thing you see is the Captain's desk, larger than necessary and painted to look like wood stained kono. The desk is set deeply in the room near the rear wall which doubles as a giant view screen, usually showing the stars the ship is traveling towards.

Positioned perfectly in the middle along the left wall is a long cabinet also painted to look like the same wood as the desk. There are 6 doors along the face of the cabinet, each about fifteen inches wide with a drawer above each one. On top of the cabinet is a plant to honor the Captain's father, several books written by his mother, and a small case to house a few of the more impressive medals the Captain has warned in his career. Above the cabinet is a set of bagpipes displayed on the wall. The is also a table and chairs set in the corner nearest the door. The replicator is also set within this wall in between the table and the cabinets.

The right side of the room has a comfortable leather couch and two arm chairs sitting around a actual wooded coffee table. This piece is the inspiration for the rest of the wood in the room. The couch and chairs are slightly darker than the wood of the table and they contrast well with the walls which as painted with a much lighter shade. Above the couch is a pair of tartans; one belongs to the Captain's family's and the other is the Black Watch. Closer to the back of the room is another doorway that leads to another section of the Captains ready room but no one on the crew as entered the room, excluding the Commander.

Dr. McCoy and Captain Campbell

Dr. McCoy was in her office when she received a report transmission from Dr. Bell. After scanning it briefly, Erica sat back in shock.

Paging the Captain, "Sir, I have some information that you need to see. I believe that this may help explain somethings for you."

After being told that he would be in his ready room she moved the files to a PADD and walked to the room speculating about the find.

Erica waited outside the room for the Captain to arrive.

Thank you Sir.

Walking into this room Dr. McCoy gazed from the formal desk area to the informal couch and chairs. Thinking that this news would be easier told seated comfortably she walks over to the one of the arm chairs and motioned for the Captain to follow suit.

"I think what I have for you if for your discretion to share with who needs to know it." Dr. McCoy said after the Captain sat down.

"Dr. Bell brought this to my attention earlier today. It has to do with those missing links that were found when we ran your DNA against that of Major MacConnel and Seona."

"With help of calling in nearly every favor I had plus some, Dr. Bell and his team where able to find that the Missing link is not just from one thing, but several variables that have made all three of you who you are."

"First, Seona. She was... well, not killed, but from her Genome came the very vaccine that save you and the Major. It was from this of Gene manipulation, that enabled Seona to be cloned from the DNA patterns to live another day. This is why when we looked for her birth records that everything out of order. She had been used for what was in her blood and she was then cloned to be given a new life."

Pausing, shifting back to her notes she looked back up at the Captain.

Here is the fun part.

"The DNA that bridged the disease that should have kill you and the Major was what cured you. Cured by one simple piece of DNA that my contact has no idea how the Gene Manipulator got a hold of. Captain, the DNA strand that was in Seona and then partially transferred to you and the Major is from Khan Noonien Singh."

"It was from his ability to heal that helped change yours and the Majors' DNA enough so that this disease became inert.

RE: Captain's Ready Room
Khan Noonien Singh was the last thing the Captain heard the doctor say. the name bounced around the inside of his head filling the corners of his mind. Khan Noonien Singh, it couldn't be true. How could someone have gotten their hands on Khan's DNA. Who would be crazy enough to use that DNA? It appeared his parents had been. The Captain let go of a deep breath. Khan Noonien Singh, good god, he thought.

"Doctor, is there any chance that Khan's DNA is what has made Seona go mad? Could it do something similar to myself?"

Captain's Ready Room
Captain Campbell and LT CMDR V'rol

The Captain approached his ready room, the LT Commander was already waiting for him. "LT Commander", The Captain said as he walked past the officer and into his ready room. V'rol followed behind him. "Take a seat, I'll only be a moment", he said gesturing to the couch on the right side of the room before he walked over toward the cabinets on the left. He took out a bottle half full of brown liquid and two glasses pouring a small amount of the liquid into each glass. He returned to the Vulcan, who was still standing near the door, and offered him one of the glasses.
