Astra just stared at him. " the body's of the people onboard they had been shot with sumthing and I woke up in a bacta tank the hooded man has been trying to prove it. Sol listen to me please" Astra said.
She could not beleave this how could they say the events were halutinatons and why did Sol beleave them. " Sol it was real they are lieing sumthing attacked that ship and its still out there. " She said.

"Astra," he said moving closer. "Think about this, a human with skin that turns off lightsabers."
He looked at her with soft eyes, "nothing has that ability." He looked down, "sure for a few weeks, I believed the hallucinations. But that was before the medical reports showed that we were exposed to the chemicals."
"Astra, what is more likely," he asked her softly.

Astra shook her head. " it was not a holutinatiom Sol and what ever that thing was it was not alive I think it was a Droid of some kind" she said. She looked at him then to the dance. " Let's just agree not to agree on this. It's your last night here befor you leave let dace or sumthing " she said trying to change the subject for fear that Sol would panic and drag her to the healers or sumthing.

"It belonged to my mother," he said motioning to the bracelet.

Astra blinks confused turning her head sideways. " it's pretty, I bet your excited to see her again right?" She asked as she handed the box and bracelet back. Not at all understanding what he is doing. Not that she did not understand the concept she just failed to pick up on it like the silly girl she is.

Astra blinked and pulled Sol into a hug. "I'm so sorry I did not know, this is such an impotent bracelet you should keep it close to you... i apresheate the thought i do...I just ummm" she trailed off. she did not want to hurt him but she also was unsure about excepting something there means so much to Sol.

He smiled, "I am going to keep it close to me." He took it out of the small box and placed it around her wrist. "Astra, you have been the best of friends I have."
He smiled as he looked in to her eyes. He wanted to say more, but he dared not. "Now let's go get that dance." He laughed pulling her with him towards the dance floor.

He smiled as he held her close. He wanted to give her the world, yet he knew he couldn't. So for tonight, he would make sure that she felt like she was his world. They would dance, laugh and be rich with their friendship. Though deep in his heart, he knew that there was more.

Astra had fun she enjoyed dancing, talking and laughing with Sol. When they finly did head to ther preventive Baracks for the evening. There was an feeling of bitter sweetness to ther final goodbye. Even though it was only a month. For Astra that was a long time.
As she headed back to her room that night she could not help but feel there might be something else sumthing much more important between then.

The night was as it always is on Serreno, cool, but not too cool. The open windows allowed for the fresh air to come in. It made sleeping so much more enjoyable. But the added perk was the gentle sounds of the spring that cut through the dorm blocks. The spring was placed intentionally to allow for a sense of calm and comfort. Unfortunately, calm and comfort wasn't what one student was enjoying. Roza turned in her bed, kicking off the light sheet that covered her. She flipped then reached out with both hands screaming, "NOOOOO" Her pain and horror filled voice ripped Astra from her slumber. Roza coiled up in a ball on her bed sobbing, "no no no no no"

Astra lept from her bed looking around for an intruder or danger befor realizing it was Roza. How may times had this been? She had lost count. One would think she would be use to it and quicker to help Roza.
" Roza ... Roza it's ok, uts just a dream" Astra said gently shaking the other girl trying to wake her up. Consurn written on her face. She wished there was some way to end the Nightmares and Roza's suffering. " Roza why don't we take a walk clear your mind" Astra asked when the other girl finly woke.

After a few moments Astra started to sing a lullaby she had known for a long time but could never place where she heard it.

Roza moved to get comfortable, "the doctors tell me that it was all in my head. They try to help me forget. And just when I think I have forgotten, I have the nightmare again."

She blinked a moment then drew in a deep breath, "we were working our way to the galley," she started to explain. "Stev said that there had been some kind of explosion. There were so many dead kids. It was like they had tried to hide or make a last stand or something" She teared up, "I remember finding Trase, there. The Cadet from our shared History Class." She started to shake a bit. "I took a knee next to her. Her throat had been crushed and her face....It was like her head had been crushed."
Roza started to cry, "I...I...She was my age....why would anyone kill her...She was so nice. She helped me with my homework."
She blinked and drew in a new breath, "I heard Stev say he found someone alive. So I got up and rushed to the kitchen. Nic was a head of me, but we reached it at the same time. That was when I saw it get up. IT! I know that there were parts of it that were human, but it was an IT! Stev started to shoot it, but it didn't stop. Stev told us to get back...we did. Stev kept shooting it. It just kept coming. Finally it grabbed Stev and throw him against the corner. Nic turned and was going to run away. He was going to leave me there. I wanted to run...I wanted to do something. But I couldn't move. I couldn't speak...I couldn't do anything."
tears fell freely, "Nic didn't get a few paces away before that thing caught him. Held Nic's head in one hand. Then slammed it against the wall. Once, twice, three times, till Nic's face was nothing more than a smear on the wall. That was when I screamed," She leaned in to Astra's chest. "I was going to die...Just like Trase had..."

Astra blinked there was no way that was a holotination. But she could not tell her friend that. The poor girl was surfing enuff. She did not need the thought that it had actually happened.

" Wispers" Astra said as if confused. She remembered the insidint. " I don't remember even seeing Nic I remember running in to find you and Sol leaping at his master with his lightsaber. His lightsaber shut of and then the master threw him at me. The only one from your team I remember seeing was you" Astra said quietly.

She looked down, "I know," she said softly. "I spoke to the doctors, and they said no one saw what I saw."
"I remember things," she said softly, "but these things are just tricks of my mind. But that is what the doctors tell me."

Roza frowned as her eyes dripped with tears, "I want so badly to believe what the Doctors say. That none of that was real. The Nic and Trase weren't murdered in such a horrible way."
She started to sob, "does that make me a bad person to want to believe them."

" no roza you the kindest person I know. You could never be a horrible person" Astra said. Her own evey filling with tears. To see Roza hurt so badly bothered her.
" I don't know why the adults are trying to hide this but there wrong" Astra said quietly.

Roza didn't say anything else, she just coiled herself in to Astra's arms. Her soft sobs filling the air around them. She tried to get as comfortable as possible.
It was clear that the scar of that trip was still holding its effect over poor Roza.

It made Astr so angry that Roza was in so much pain. But there was nothing she could to fix it. And feeling powerless to help Roza did not help ether. She wondered there was a way to get the adults to confess to living about the entire mess but that was pointless to it would not make the Nightmares stop. So she would do what ever it took for Roza to feal better.

The Gladius on Anaxes was a stark contrast to the one hosted on Olavan. Where Olavan put forth their culture, their art, their flavor, Anaxes showed off its tight association with the military wing of the Jedi Order.
Then again, everything about Anaxes was military. This was their culture, their art, their flavor. For Astra, seeing even the students of Anaxes train, study and move like the Cadets of Serrano was a eye opener.
The opening celebration only proved to her this close association at all levels of the Anaxes Academy.
For Astra, watching Sol compete in lightsaber duels was a treat. He was focused and determined. His first official match pitted him against Atril Thel-Tanis's twin bother, Durro Thel-Tanis. While the twins shared some features and the last name, that was it. Sol made short work of the teenager.
However the very next day in Sol's third match, he was paired off with Atril. Sol held his own till the second round where she dominated the round. Despite Sol's best efforts, Atril just scored more points and was declared the victor by round four.
Sol walked up to a waiting Astra. Unknown to him, Atril was speeding up to him. As he motioned to Astra, Atril called out, "Kenobi"
He turned to face her, "yeah," he said confused to see her right after their match.
"Hey, you did really good out there," she said holding out her hand.
Sol smile and took it, "thanks, man you were a beast after that first round." He turned to Astra, "this is my....." he paused a moment as if catching a word in his mouth. "My bestfriend, Astra."
Atril smiled broadly, "Astra, pleased to meet you," once more she held out her hand for Astra to shake.

Watching Sol duel was incredible. His hard work over the last month had payed off.. though when he took on Durro's sister. Well that was a different story.
Astra want nothing more the to hug Sol after his match with Atril but unfortunately that was not exactly an option. So she forced a smiled and shook the other teens hand. " I'm Astra it's nice to meet you" she said.
Astra blinked " also Atril you a scary. I saw what you did, the first round you were studying him. Then you changed tactics to take advantage of anywhere you saw his style was week right" she said. She half wondered how Sol did not see that but it was ok. He had been busy fighting. Astra smiled at Sol absinthe mindedly fitaling with the bracelet he had give her.

As Astra fidget with her bracelet, she heard sounds in the distance. Her eyes glazed over as she saw a dark and foreboding forest take shape in her mind's eye.
The bitter sounds of Lightsaber clashing against each other as a pair of combatants take part in a lethal dance of supremacy.
Her vision ended with a man gazing down at a wounded, disarmed and kneeling Atril Thel-Tanis, "you have been found guilty of treason against the Jedi Order," his blade and hers crossing at her neck.
The sound of Atril speaking seeped back in. The words lost in the moment, and no one aware of what Astra just experienced.
"What is it like to train under Master Windu," Sol asked with more than just curiosity in his voice.
"Its nothing like I would have expected. He is very demanding, more so than I could have imagined," Atril explained. "And you, How is Lord Serrano."
Sol frowned, "I haven't been selected yet." He paused, where did you hear that from," he asked in a surprise.
"Your brother Obi-Wan," She said tilting her head. "I met him on Olavan last year," she added.

Astra gasps shook her head and took several steps backwards. Only to trip on her own feet, and fell. She had been startled by the vision. " I'm ok just a bug startled me" she said quietly getting back to her feet. She would have to tell Master Xie Mease about it later. There was no point in upsetting anyone.
Astra looked at Sol " your brothers name is Obi-Wan?" She asked. Then she looked back at Atril. " lord Sereno kinda scary iv never actually seen him but from what I've heard. That man is tarifing." She said.

Sol was the first one to lend a hand to help Astra back to her. There was more than just concern in his eyes as he looked at her. It was if he knew she was lying. To his credit he said nothing.
When he did finally speak he answered her, "yes, an older brother." He added laughingly, "and trust me, one of the most cruelest of pranksters."
Atril laughed at the joke, "he said as much when we met." She blinked to Astra, "I just saw Lord Serrano." She turned and pointed to him across the promenade. "There he is, speaking with that hooded Master."
Sol blinked, "really, what did my brother say," he asked.

Astra was thankful that Sol did not say anything. She did not want to alarmed Atril. With was it a vision it had to be right. Well what ever it was it was the future. She would let Master mease know and she could decide what to do.
" how much older what school dose he go to" she asked. A failing attempt to forget the horrible vision she just saw.
Astra blinked and her eyes went wide. " t-the hooded man. W-we should go somewhere else" she said. Almost frightened she was worked about Sol's saftly and at the moment Atril's as well. " iv seen him before several times he only shows up when there is trouble." Astra said.

Atril nodded, "no one messes with my friends," she glanced at Sol and Astra. "Even if I just met them," she added with a laugh.

Astra just stared at them. " are you two crazy last time he showed up a cadet and a member of a academy academy ships crow died" Astra said. She was genuinely unnerved for a moment.
" we should ether confront him witch given he's a master is a bad idea or go find one of are masters and advice them of the situation" Astra said. She know better then to take on a master. She also know that were ever that man showed up trouble followed.
She thought for a few more seconds. Atril was so nice how could she ever comment treason agents the jedi. It did not make sence. She shook her head there was no way of knowing if it was a vision or not.

Sol then turned to Astra, "okay something is bothering you. So if it is that guy over there, than lets go do something about it."
He was genuinely worried for her and that was evident in his voice.

She turned to glare at Sol only for her glare to disaper as she caught how Worried he was. " I saw sumthing earlier Atril she's is going to be charged with treason and killed, I didn't not want to alarm or upset her because visions of the future if that's what it was are not always true at least according to the instructors, and then the apperince of the Hooded man he is dangerous Sol evey time sumthing bad happens he shows up or was already around" Astra said finaly. She wanted to go find Atril and keep her out of danger now.

" I don't know, Atril just said he was a master so it's not like we can just confront him and all the other masters here seam to trust him. So are best bet is probably to try and find out who he is"" she said quietly.

A man walked up to the pair. He was small in build and had thin unkept hair, "hello," he said softly. "I am Blixer," said with an odd smile. "I watched your match with Atril Thel-Tanis," there was a hint of pride in his voice. "You have some cool moves."
Sol looked suspicious, "um...okay,"
Bkixer waved his hands, "no no its not like that. I am a Gladius fan boy. I watch all the numbers and events. I know talent when I see it."
He pulled out a data pad, "I just wanted your autograph." He placed a smile on his face and the data pad extended half way towards Sol.

" Sol we were headed back to ate instructors right" Astra said. She did not want to upset or hurt the man's fealing but right now she did not trust him.

He bowed slightly as a show of respect, "please forgive me." He pulled his data pad back. "It's just a signature," he said offering the data pad for Astra. "You can check if you desire," he said showing her the data pad.
With Astra standing between them, it was now up to her to take the pad and hand it to Sol or to refuse the man's request.

As the pair walked up to the two men speaking, Astra started to speak, as Sol had his own plans at uncovering who this man was that threatened his love. He pretended to trip and fell in to the back of the hooded Master. "Oh excuse me," he said ripping the hood of.
Master Palpatine turned around, "Oh goodness my boy," there was no sign that he was aware that Sol had planned his 'accident'
Though Astra caught Lord Serreno's eyes and she knew, he knew.
"Lord Serreno," a female voice spoke, "does your Academy always produce such clumsy Cadets?" A white haired woman said as she walked up.
"Princess Delphinium," Master Palpatine said softy, "the young man merely tripped.
Lord Serreno's face grew red with anger, "Crown Princess," he said with a scowl in his voice. "These two were just telling us of an intruder within the Gladiolus." He turned to face Astra, "Please continue my dear."
"Ah yes," Master Palpatine added, "please tell us of this intruder."
The three stood there waiting for Astra to speak.

" Crown princess please forgive my friend Sol was upset by the insolent he probably was not watching where He was going, and did not intend to trip" she said bowing politely. then turned her attention to the men. she held her hand out to show them the cut on her finger. " He said his name was Blixer he approached Sol and I with a data pad clamming to be a fan of the Gladiolus and asked Sol to Sine it. I thought there was something off about the guy so i got between him and Sol and polity asked him to leave us alone. He thought carefully, "I do sense a plot, but not one aimed at the Gladiolus or the Cadets." He turned to the Crown Princess, "isn't Baklid assisting with the security, this year."
She let off a huff, "we are," her eyes narrowed at Lord Serreno, "I believe we were volunteered for such efforts."

Princess Delphinium nodded, "Thank you youngling....."
"She is but a student at the Academy," Lord Serreno corrected.
"You know, Lord Serreno," Princess Delphinium said coldly, "I will personally report back should we locate this intruder." On that she turned, flipping her long white hair over her shoulder and walked away.
Sol stood next to Astra without realizing his hand on her shoulder. The moment of tension was slip by laughter from Master Palpatine.
"You know, Lord Serreno," he playfully said. "I don't think she likes you too much."
"I don't believe so," Lord Serreno added before turning back to the two children. "Thank you children for that opportunity," there was a pleasant smile on his face and in the tone of his voice. "Is there anything else," he asked.

Lord Serreno nodded, "Master Palpatine is the Grand Master of the Olavan Academy and Warden of the Star Light Prison."

"Yes, yes," Palpatine dismissed as he waved his hand, "I know, I have been very busy." He bent closer to Astra, "still, the lake is there, and it makes for some wonderful, peaceful time."

" i..um..I there is a man that where's clothing like yours and dose not show his face the instros don't question him. He always shows up when there is trouble. The last time I saw him a student from are academy along with a Crewman from the ship we were on died." She said quietly knowing better then to lie to a jedi master.

There was clear shock in the old Master's face, "died..." he said in surprise. "Lord Serreno," he questioned.
Lord Serreno frowned, "she is speaking of the Somning Incident." Lord Serreno stated as a matter of fact. "She along with a few other students were exposed to toxic levels of coolant."
"Ah, yes," he said nodding. "I remember reading something about that while I was at Star Light. Wasn't the Captain found guilty of negligence."
Lord Serreno nodded, "he was."
"Lord Serreno," Palpatine said motioning to Astra, "clearly this young girl is still suffering from the side effects. What is your Academy doing for her."
Lord Serreno's eyes softened a bit, "we have brought in some of the best medical personal on world. Her roommate," there was a noticeable drop in tone as his face grew sad, "is suffering from long term effects." He turned to Astra, "Child, I will sign you up for medical evaluations upon returning to Serreno."

With this years Gladiolus winding down, the exceptions were high on the battle between Atril Thel-Tanis and Kaylessa Krishan. And for the first time in decades, the Shribeh didn't win. The two female combatants tied in score! Though Elmyra Krishan didn't compete this year. This allowed Atril to share first place with Kaylessa.
But that wasn't the only surprising news. A male body was found in one of the trash compactors. He was I identified as Iolas Inaro, an Outer Rim Bounty Hunter. The marks left behind on the compactor door suggests that he, somehow, fell in to the compactor and became trapped. During the normal operation of the day, the Bounty Hunter was crushed to death. It was a tragic accident, though no one has been able to figure out what he was doing at the Gladiolus. Though for one female student from Serreno, the image in the media of Iolas sent chills down her spine.

The speeder came to a stop and Sol quickly got out. "Don't move, I will get you," he said as he rushed to the other side of the speeder and helped a blindfolded Astra from the speeder.
"Okay, so I know you have been bummed out by not being allowed to go on your Gathering," he said softly as he led her further and further away from the speeder, "but today is a special day. Today, we have been friends for over four years." he said taking her hand. "Now don't move" he said softly and close to her face. He moved than went back to her face, "no peeking!" he lowered himself and carefully lifted up one of her feet. He took her shoe and sock off. He let her foot rest in the soft sand. He repeated this with her other foot. Then he rolled up her pant legs. Her skin was always so soft.
He snapped out of it and tossed his own shoes off, "okay, here we go," he said leading her in to cold waters of the lake. One her feet were covered by water did he remove the blindfold and allowed her to see the natural wonders of her world. Lake No'iona was beautiful right before sunset as the rays of the setting sun danced across the calm waters.

He frowned, "mother would've though. But father, father is focused on work. He has been since mother was killed."

The dorms were a buzz of activity as this was a very special day for nearly all Students in Astra's class. This was the day that they were either chosen to continue their education among the Jedi, or be sent to other public schools across Serreno. For those remaining within the Jedi Academy system, their fate was in flux as well. A lucky few were chosen to continue on the path of the Jedi Knight and invited to take part in the Gathering. While others were tasked with lesser roles in the Order, such as serving in one of the three military branches, or within the Service Corps.
What brought a student to this fork in their road. A wide number of factors played important parts. First and foremost was the MC Count. Was their count high enough to warrant more Force Training? And while a low MC Count wouldn't remove a student from the Academy, it would close some doors for them. Second was their general mannerisms, demeanor, and their nature. Were they mentally fit to continue to serve the Jedi. Grades, Interview results and peer interviews were all vital in finding the right path for the hundred students in Astra's class. Then there were those who willing choose to serve the Jedi in lesser roles. Out of Sheer respect, such requests are approved nearly all the time.
Then there are the Cadets from across the parade grounds. For them, this day was no different. Beyond popular belief, not all Cadets are allowed to move on to become Jedi Knights. They still undergo the same evaluations as the Students get. However, they do get the added benefit of mentors, tutors, and extra lessons. Families normally spends thousands to tens of thousands credits on ensuring that their Cadets have all the possible advantages available to them. Coupled with the added benefit of having seats on the Gathering reserved for certain families.

For one student, Roza, she walked in to her final interview and made the request, that she be allowed to join Service Corp as a healer. Despite having a very low MC, Roza was assigned to the Medical Branch of the Service Corps. With departure orders set for 07.02, Roza will be sent to Olavan to continue her education as a Jedi Medic.
We find Roza in her dorm room alone, gazing out the window, a tear in her eye. As Astra enters, Roza turns to greet her, "Astra!" she said wiping the tears from her eyes.

" come on let's go find out how to Die your hair" she said. They did eventually find some one to help a Noble girl to help. Once they know how to die Rozas hair they return to the dorm with proper supplys and start the process of Dyeing Roza's hair.
They had to start by bleaching her hair then using the red hair die. Roza's hair turned out a little brighter red then hers but it was close enough. " it's a bit brighter then mine but it should darker to my color in a few days or weeks" Astra said as she put roza's hair up in a half braid like her own hair.

She shrugged her shoulders, "so I called out to some of my fellow sisters and brothers here at the Academy and well, think of it like a going away party for me."
Her mischievous smile returned, "but its really my gift to you." She crossed her arms while holding the garment. "Now are you going to get those nasty robs and Jedi blah off, or do I have to strip you!" Her tone filled with playfulness and her smile never yielding.

Upon arrival, Astra thirty or so Boklins dressed in bright colorful grab dancing to music she guessed had to be from Baklid.
When Roza arrived, it was clear the party was ready to get started.

The dancing and music was festive, fun and filled with energy. Roza never left Astra's side, offering translation services for the new members of the Academy from Baklid. There wasn't many, but they sure did enjoy talking Astra's ear off.
Roza was to the rescue as she pulled Astra towards the dance floor. "Your gift is here," she playfully said.
As the dancing continued, she shifted as if spinning around then someone helped Sol slide in next to Astra. Before anyone could say anything, Roza placed her arms around both of them.
"You two," she said just over the loud music. "Are my family. I love you two with all my heart," She said as she pulled both in to a hug.

Astra enjoy the party and talking to everyone and Roza. That was until she pulled to the dance floor by Roza and Sol showed up. Astra's face turned bright red and Astra froze until Roza higed them.

" this is so much fun. Just what we all needed befor going are separate ways. Roza I bet you will be an amazing Jedi healer" Astra said with a smile.

Roza smiled, "and you will be a great Jedi Knight." On that note, Roza was pulled away by one of her friends. Astra watched her being led up to a boy about Roza's age. Roza wasted no time in fidgeting with her hair as the two spoke. The smile on her face and the blush on her cheeks was more than enough to tell Astra that Roza liked this boy.
As Astra watched, she suddenly felt disoriented, as the music lessened in volume. A chill blew up her back, despite Astra knowing that this large room was hot due to all the bodies and dancing going on. Then it all stop!
Astra's eyes adjusted as she saw herself standing before a door. A door, she most desperately wanted to walk through. Her hands and neck failed her commands as her eyes searched around. She was in her old Dorm Room. Her eyes shifted back to the door and the desire to walk through it. Though her perspective placed her higher than the floor. Her mind raced, was she floating? There was another cool breeze at her back. The window to the dorm room must be open. And a shadow moving behind her. Was it a tree? Astra felt part of her mind crying out for her to scream, to fight, to do anything but take a step. The other part of her mind saw the door and knew she wanted to step through it. Why....was a question that the answer alluded her. She felt a tear dripping from her eye and down her check, why was she sad. Once more the door came to view and that desire to step through it caused her leg to move forward......
"Astra," Sol said with deep concern in his voice. Roza stood just behind him. In fact, the entire room was now focused on Astra as she laid on the ground. The music had stop for some reason. "Astra, are you okay.." Sol carefully lifted Astra up in his arms.

It was a few minutes be for She calmed down and wiped the tears from her face. " I'm sorry guys, I'm fine I did not mean to scare eveyone. Let's have some fun please" she said smiling sweetly at eveyone.
She was defiantly not ok but she would hide it. This would be the last night some of these people would see echother. She did not want it ruined for them. Especially not Rzoa who she know there was a boy she liked here.

As she started to cry, Sol carried away from the main crowd of people while Roza played interceptor. Between the two of them, they managed to get Astra to a place in the old warehouse where she can recover alone.
"Don't say you're sorry," Roza said kneeling next to a cradled Astra. "You have nothing to apologize for."
Sol gave Astra a look, "I am going to take her back to her room."
Roza nodded, "right, let me go get our things." Roza started to raise up. Astra noticed Roza's eyes on the boy she was speaking with before. Sol was getting Astra ready to leave.
