The dorms were a buzz of activity as this was a very special day for nearly all Students in Astra's class. This was the day that they were either chosen to continue their education among the Jedi, or be sent to other public schools across Serreno. For those remaining within the Jedi Academy system, their fate was in flux as well. A lucky few were chosen to continue on the path of the Jedi Knight and invited to take part in the Gathering. While others were tasked with lesser roles in the Order, such as serving in one of the three military branches, or within the Service Corps.
What brought a student to this fork in their road. A wide number of factors played important parts. First and foremost was the MC Count. Was their count high enough to warrant more Force Training? And while a low MC Count wouldn't remove a student from the Academy, it would close some doors for them. Second was their general mannerisms, demeanor, and their nature. Were they mentally fit to continue to serve the Jedi. Grades, Interview results and peer interviews were all vital in finding the right path for the hundred students in Astra's class. Then there were those who willing choose to serve the Jedi in lesser roles. Out of Sheer respect, such requests are approved nearly all the time.
Then there are the Cadets from across the parade grounds. For them, this day was no different. Beyond popular belief, not all Cadets are allowed to move on to become Jedi Knights. They still undergo the same evaluations as the Students get. However, they do get the added benefit of mentors, tutors, and extra lessons. Families normally spends thousands to tens of thousands credits on ensuring that their Cadets have all the possible advantages available to them. Coupled with the added benefit of having seats on the Gathering reserved for certain families.
For one student, Roza, she walked in to her final interview and made the request, that she be allowed to join Service Corp as a healer. Despite having a very low MC, Roza was assigned to the Medical Branch of the Service Corps. With departure orders set for 07.02, Roza will be sent to Olavan to continue her education as a Jedi Medic.
We find Roza in her dorm room alone, gazing out the window, a tear in her eye. As Astra enters, Roza turns to greet her, "Astra!" she said wiping the tears from her eyes.

" Roza, your going to be a healer I hear?" She said happly as she entered the room. She looked at her friend and smiled. "What bothering you" Astra asked.

Roza smiled, "I am," then shook her head, "I was just remembering my first days coming here. You were the only person that talked to me." She moved over to her bed as she continued, "Astra, I don't think I ever told you. But I was so scared, so alone. And you," her smile grew, "you were such a great friend." Her tears slipped down her cheeks, "I will miss you the most,"

Astra smiled and pulled her friend into a hug." It's ok we have tonight. We will always be able to write and call echother we can even work out chances to visit each other. This is not good by" Astra said.
Astra backed away from Roza. " you know befor you came her I was quite lonely I had a home finally after going from place to place. Then you came along and everything fell into place and was perfect. Without you I never would have made it far" Astra said.

Using the palm of her hand, she wiped the tears from her eye as she nodded, "I would love that."
"I didn't have a sister before coming here. But" she started to cry again, "I have one now...."
She took a breath to get her crying under control, "Astra..." she said then smiled, "can you do me a favor?"

Astra blinked " what's that" she asked tilting her head sideways. If Roza did not stop crying soon Astra was going to join her.

Roza smiled as she pulled on her long black hair, "I have always loved your hair. Do you think you could dye my hair and do it up to match yours?" she said with almost a giggle in her voice.

" umm... I don't know how to dye hair but we can go fine some one who knows I just want to make sure it's done right so you don't end up with like green hair. But we can totly die your hair of you really want to." she said with a smile.
" I have to tell you sumthing ..." she added after a moment.

Roza smiled and nodded, "I would like that a lot." She blinked her eyes, "what is it Astra?"

Astra smiled " I made it to the gathering... the Dooku family adopted me." She said happly to share this information with her friend no not friend sister.
" come on let's go find out how to Die your hair" she said. They did eventually find some one to help a Noble girl to help. Once they know how to die Rozas hair they return to the dorm with proper supplys and start the process of Dyeing Roza's hair.
They had to start by bleaching her hair then using the red hair die. Roza's hair turned out a little brighter red then hers but it was close enough. " it's a bit brighter then mine but it should darker to my color in a few days or weeks" Astra said as she put roza's hair up in a half braid like her own hair.

Roza smiled, "you know, I haven't had my nightmares in nearly two months" she declared. "I think I finally put all that behind me," she said then turned to Astra.
"Have you?" she asked softly. "Have you managed to get that behind you too?"

"I'm glad you have not had nightmares in two months" she said. still fighting with the braids in Roza's hair.
"I have" she said she was unwilling to tell the truth. she had not forgotten and never would. " why did you pick the healer corps" Astra asked.

She smiled, "its because of all the work the healers here had done for me in three year." She leaned back and watched Astra as she played with her new hair. "I want to be able to help others. The way they helped me." She shrugged her shoulders, "I don't like being in space anymore. I can't grow a plant to save my life, and I am a terrible fighter. So the Healers are pretty much my best beat." She laughed,

"Are you relay ok" astra asked. she looked up from Roza's hair. "You know your going to have to travel throw space to get to the Olvan academy and then on to where ever you are stationed Will you be ok" Astra asked

She nodded, "I know...." she said softly. "I won't lie, I am really scare," she added. She rolled over and smiled, "I have to do this. Or else it won't stay behind me. I just have to."

Astra smiled " I understand space travel still bothers me" she said. She looked out the window and back to Roza. " you know I think red sites you. But you know your stranger then you think you are. Iv always admired how compatinent you are. You will make a good healer" Astra said. She sat quietly with her friend. " What day do you leave again? " Astra Asked she had totally forgotten in the mean time.

Roza frowned, "I leave tomorrow." She looked down and thought for a moment, "my transport leaves at noon." She looked out beyond the open window, "I figured I would just walk around the campus before that." She looked to Astra, "you? when do you leave?" she asked then followed up with, "so what will happen to you?"

Astra smiled " so we have until 12 tomorrow to get you redy for space. I don't exactly know yet I'm going to be going on the gathering we're just waiting on paperwork" Astra said. She smiled " what scares you most about space travel" Astra asked.

She smiled softly, "Astra," she got up from her bed and looked at her hands. The red dye still colored her hands. "It will take weeks to get them clean," she laughed.
She walked over to her wall locker and opened, "I don't want to talk about fears. We have to get ready," she said pulling out items of clothing.
There was mischief in her eyes as she held out two long silk skirts, "my turn to help you."

Astra smiled we probably should get packed. Astra said starting to open her own wall locker. As she started to wok she came across a pair of stuffed animals. Litter cat like creater. Astra smiled as she picked one up and set it on Roza's bed.
Astra blinked at Roza's stamens. " you shure you ok? So you want help packing for tomorrow?" Astra asked.

Roza smiled as she saw the little Loth Cat plush, "that's your favorite."
She paused a moment as if trying to plot something, "I am good, I promise."
She walked over and closed Astra's wall locker, "listen, I can't tell you everything. But you really need to trust me." Once more that mischievous smile crossed her lips.
"You need to let me get you dressed," she said pulling on Astra's robes till she slipped it off. "You are not going dressed like this."

Astra blinked " going where " she asked reluctantly letting her friend pull her robes off.
" what are you up to iv never sean a more mischievous look" Astra said. She was confused at this point.

Roza laughed, "you know, ma sœur," she said speaking her native language. Astra knew enough, that Roza was calling her sister. A phrase she had heard Roza use many times.
"Your Baklid sisters, know your desires and are here for you." She took Astra by the hand, "I know you care about me." She rolled her eyes playfully, "so many nights you holding me and trying to comfort me after those horrible nightmares. Trust me, I know."
She shrugged her shoulders, "so I called out to some of my fellow sisters and brothers here at the Academy and well, think of it like a going away party for me."
Her mischievous smile returned, "but its really my gift to you." She crossed her arms while holding the garment. "Now are you going to get those nasty robs and Jedi blah off, or do I have to strip you!" Her tone filled with playfulness and her smile never yielding.

Astra burst into a fit of giggles. Shaking her head. She remove all of her as Roza put it jedi Blah. " where is this party at? Also ofcurse I care about you your the only family I have" Astra asked.
She half wondered what her sister wanted her to where she only has the clothes provided for her by the academy.
" when did you find the time to plan a party." Astra asked.

As Astra started to get undressed, Roza flipped her comlink, "ladies, we are a go!"
"I didn't, they were planning it," she said as three other Baklid local girls walked in to the room. "As I said they planned it as a going away party. Most of us Baklins are being shipped off to the Service Corps or to the GAO."
She shrugged as the group started to get Astra dolled up in traditional Baklid style.
"The party is only for us Baklins, but we have special permission for you," she explained.

Astra shook her head and smiled as she let her friends help her get redy. " I hope I don't embarks you all" she said then looked at her sister.
" you are quite good at keeping secrets. I remember when you were really bad at it" Astra said giggling.

Roza laughed, "I had a great teacher."
The four girls worked for over an hour to get Astra and themselves ready for the unofficial party. In the End, Astra looked like a headed Boklid local. Then again, Roza and Astra really did look like sister.
By late afternoon, Astra and her female entourage were heading to the old warehouse at the edge of the campus.
Upon arrival, Astra thirty or so Boklins dressed in bright colorful grab dancing to music she guessed had to be from Baklid.
When Roza arrived, it was clear the party was ready to get started.

" Is this what they normally where in Boklid" Astra asked as they were headed to the Warehouse. She felt a bit girly and couldn't not decide whether or not she liked that. Something told her she should get use to it though being a Dooku now and all. That however did not matter what did matter was having fun with Roza.
Once making it to the where house Astra just stared. " iv never sean so may bright colors in one place" she said and looked to Roza to lead the way.
" thank you for bringing me along. You know this is exactly what we neexed" Astra said over the music.

The dancing and music was festive, fun and filled with energy. Roza never left Astra's side, offering translation services for the new members of the Academy from Baklid. There wasn't many, but they sure did enjoy talking Astra's ear off.
Roza was to the rescue as she pulled Astra towards the dance floor. "Your gift is here," she playfully said.
As the dancing continued, she shifted as if spinning around then someone helped Sol slide in next to Astra. Before anyone could say anything, Roza placed her arms around both of them.
"You two," she said just over the loud music. "Are my family. I love you two with all my heart," She said as she pulled both in to a hug.

Astra enjoy the party and talking to everyone and Roza. That was until she pulled to the dance floor by Roza and Sol showed up. Astra's face turned bright red and Astra froze until Roza higed them.
Astra smiled returning Roza's hug. " I love with all my hart too" she said to her sister. " I'm so glad to have you two as family" she said. She cast a glance at Sol and her face turned red again.
" this is so much fun. Just what we all needed befor going are separate ways. Roza I bet you will be an amazing Jedi healer" Astra said with a smile.

Roza smiled, "and you will be a great Jedi Knight." On that note, Roza was pulled away by one of her friends. Astra watched her being led up to a boy about Roza's age. Roza wasted no time in fidgeting with her hair as the two spoke. The smile on her face and the blush on her cheeks was more than enough to tell Astra that Roza liked this boy.
As Astra watched, she suddenly felt disoriented, as the music lessened in volume. A chill blew up her back, despite Astra knowing that this large room was hot due to all the bodies and dancing going on. Then it all stop!
Astra's eyes adjusted as she saw herself standing before a door. A door, she most desperately wanted to walk through. Her hands and neck failed her commands as her eyes searched around. She was in her old Dorm Room. Her eyes shifted back to the door and the desire to walk through it. Though her perspective placed her higher than the floor. Her mind raced, was she floating? There was another cool breeze at her back. The window to the dorm room must be open. And a shadow moving behind her. Was it a tree? Astra felt part of her mind crying out for her to scream, to fight, to do anything but take a step. The other part of her mind saw the door and knew she wanted to step through it. Why....was a question that the answer alluded her. She felt a tear dripping from her eye and down her check, why was she sad. Once more the door came to view and that desire to step through it caused her leg to move forward...
"Astra," Sol said with deep concern in his voice. Roza stood just behind him. In fact, the entire room was now focused on Astra as she laid on the ground. The music had stop for some reason. "Astra, are you okay.." Sol carefully lifted Astra up in his arms.

Astra blinked " What happened, I was here one minute then the next I was in the dorm room it was cold and there was a shadow. I couldn't move and I was sad. Why" she looked up at Sol and Roza confused and scared. " if this is what ot means to be gifted in the force I'm not shure I like it. " She said bursting into tears and huging Sol.
It was a few minutes be for She calmed down and wiped the tears from her face. " I'm sorry guys, I'm fine I did not mean to scare eveyone. Let's have some fun please" she said smiling sweetly at eveyone.
She was defiantly not ok but she would hide it. This would be the last night some of these people would see echother. She did not want it ruined for them. Especially not Rzoa who she know there was a boy she liked here.

As she started to cry, Sol carried away from the main crowd of people while Roza played interceptor. Between the two of them, they managed to get Astra to a place in the old warehouse where she can recover alone.
"Don't say you're sorry," Roza said kneeling next to a cradled Astra. "You have nothing to apologize for."
Sol gave Astra a look, "I am going to take her back to her room."
Roza nodded, "right, let me go get our things." Roza started to raise up. Astra noticed Roza's eyes on the boy she was speaking with before. Sol was getting Astra ready to leave.

" but I scared eveyone, and you and that boy did you two even get to dance" she said.
" But Sol don't you want to stay and have fun this may be your last chance to see any of these people" Astra said.
When Roza returned Astra smiled " Roza I'm OK you should go hang out with that boy you like I'll see you in the morning goodnight and good luck" she said with a grin happy that her friend had found someone.

Roza paused there was clearly mixed emotions on her face. She was clearly worried about her best friend. Her mouth opened as her eyes signaled her rejection.
However Sol spoke first, "yeah you stay here. I will take Astra back to my Dorm room. My Roommate is on mission, so she can sleep in his bed."
Roza shifted her stance to a more protective one, "I don't know."
"Roza," Sol said and pointed to the boy. "She is in good hands. I promise. Now go, have fun with your people."
Sol for all his good nature and kind heart, sometimes came off tone deaf to how he said things. He cringed when he realized the gaff.
Roza knew Sol for as long as she knew Astra. She waved off the mistake, "Astra," she said kneeling down next to her friend. "Breakfast," and then she whispered, "I better get all the details." She winked before standing up.

Roza Sol would never hurt me,” she said calmly.
Astra giggled at Roza’s statement. “ Of course,” Astra said. Then looked at Sol “Do you have an alarm clock so we don't miss breakfast?” She asked.
As Sol carried her away she rested her head on his shoulder. “ You know I can walk right,” she asked with a smile. She was glad Sol was not going to leave her alone. After that vision she was not sure she wanted to be alone ever again.
