The speeder came to a stop and Sol quickly got out. "Don't move, I will get you," he said as he rushed to the other side of the speeder and helped a blindfolded Astra from the speeder.
"Okay, so I know you have been bummed out by not being allowed to go on your Gathering," he said softly as he led her further and further away from the speeder, "but today is a special day. Today, we have been friends for over four years." he said taking her hand. "Now don't move" he said softly and close to her face. He moved than went back to her face, "no peeking!" he lowered himself and carefully lifted up one of her feet. He took her shoe and sock off. He let her foot rest in the soft sand. He repeated this with her other foot. Then he rolled up her pant legs. Her skin was always so soft.
He snapped out of it and tossed his own shoes off, "okay, here we go," he said leading her in to cold waters of the lake. One her feet were covered by water did he remove the blindfold and allowed her to see the natural wonders of her world. Lake No'iona was beautiful right before sunset as the rays of the setting sun danced across the calm waters.

Astra was not exactly thrilled about the blind fold. " You know you have Been acting funny all day" she said as Sol help her out of the speader.
She followed him pretty helplessly. " Sol if I don't get to go to the gathering I will never be a... realy four years" she said distracted. Sand? She thought.
"Water? A beach? "She thought. When he removed the blind fold she just stared. " wow it's beautiful" she said. She looked at him." I see why you were so excited." She added

"Astra," Sol said softly, "there is no Academy here, there is no one but us for miles."
Sol pulled her in to his arms, "I have a confession," he said gazing in to her eyes. "I love you Astra," he said with a smile on his face. "And I want a world with you," he added.

Astra blinked she just stared at Sol. She had not been redy quite yet to agnolage that fealing. She she responded by kissing him. She needed to buy herself a few seconds and calm her fast beating hart witch had started sence he had pulled her close.
When she looked back at him her face was red. She was willing to agnolige the feeling now and tell him. " I love you too Sol. I don't know what I would do if I had not meet you." She said resting her head against his chest.
Everything was quite as they stood there for a few moments. " so how long were you planning this, how did you get are instructors to let us leave the academy. " She asked with a smile.

He smiled, "lets just say your Dorm Master is a softy for romance."
His smile grew as his eyes dove in to hers, "they won't let you go to your Gathering. I know it now, so I have decided to give up my place in the Hunters. We can join the Explorer Corps together and explore the unknown regions."
His excitement was betrayed in his voice, "think of it, you and me, blazing new hyperspace lines beyond the Outer Rim."
He held her with both hands, "we will be together."

"No you wanted to be a hunter and iv not given up yet" Astar said almost panicked. " Sol I will be a jedi I'm going to talk to the dorm master tomorrow about all this. Don't give up your dream" she said. She put her hand against his face "what would your master and family think ?" She said gently.
She frowned " speaking of witch how did you manage to get out of training today. Or can we expect a visitor. You know getting on lord Sereno's bad side is a really bad idea right" she said remembering the after math of the Gladis almost three years ago. " we go in so much trouble, I'm always getting you into trouble aren't I" she said giggling.

He frowned, "Astra, for the past three years you have been over looked. They won't let you go"
His face lost that glow of excitement, "we both know this. The only seats remaining are reserved for members of the Serrano family. And as you have pointed out, we are not on Lord Serrano's best side."
He couldn't resist the laugh, "come to think of it, I don't think we ever were."
"As for my family," Sol said calmly, "I spoke with my brother. He said that its just as important to follow my heart and be true to what I really want than to follow the expectations placed upon me." He kissed her on the lips, "he says follow my heart and that means being with you."
He shrugged, "once more Lord Serrano is on one of his secret negotiation missions. The man is more secretive than the Botham are."
He smiled once more, "what do you say. Will you let me join you in to the unknown."

" Sol I'm not worth giving up everything you have worked hard for" she said gently. She smiled sweetly. She let that statement sit there for a moment.
" iv worked to hard to give up now and I don't think Lord Sereno is still angry with us he said himself I would be his apprentice along with you. Give it one more week if I can't get a place then we can join the Explorer corps together. I can't give up yet and you know that" she said with a sweet smile.
She knew this was not the answer he wanted and she hoped he was not angry. " Sol please don't be upset with me. " She said. She looked as if she might cry.

His face showed only concern, "Astra, you are a lower," he said more as a matter of fact than to be mean.
"No matter how hard your try, they won't let you join the Jedi. Not as a Knight," he pulled her in to his arms. "Astra you are my soul, my heart, and I want you to be in my life." Pulling back so he can look in to her eyes, "we can't do that if I become a hunter and you are sent to the Service Corps."
"Please, you can't win against this. Let's just walk away from it," he pleaded.

Astra looked up at him. " I...I can't Sol I know you are scared But I can't give up. I'm going to stand beside you as a knight. Just because I'm a lower dose not mean that I can't make it. We still have time to make a choice. Please Sol understand me. I want to be with you I do but I can't give up Sol. Please understand " she said tears streked her face. She could see how much it hurt him and it bothered her to see him in that much pain.
" Do you trust me?" She asked finally.

The words, do you trust me was more than just words. It was a test of his love for her. "With all my heart and life," he said softly slumping his shoulders in defeat.
"I trust you," he repeated

Astra looked up at him. " then please we can have are dreams, it's will be ok" she said . She was still worked she had hurt him.

He nodded and pulled her in to a hug, "I love you Astra."
He motioned to the sunset, "we at least have the lake."
He laughed, "and Lord Serrano was wrong. The restaurant is still there." He pointed to the other side of the lake, "its a walk but we can make it."

Astra returned his hug " I love you to" she said.
She looked out over the lake it was beautiful. " the lake is beautiful but it dose not compare to your eyes" she said with a smile. She had always like how brilliant green Sol's eyes were. " so when do I get to meet your family." She asked casuly.
At the mention of the restaurant Astra froze staring at for a moment. Lord Sereno had lied and Master Palatine very well have been there on Sol's first day. That did not mater now though she shook her head. " Sure lest go check it out" she said with a smile.

The restaurant was a lovely little place that had a dining area over the lake. There were signs of fresh paint and new furniture.
Sol was a perfect gentleman as he pleasant, "you don't want to meet my family." He laughed, "they are pretty petty and full of themselves."
He waved a hand, "but if you insist, I can arrange it."

Astra smiled " I should probably meet them eventually right" she asked as she followed him into the restaurant. It was not long befor they were seated with a view of the lake.
" I'm glad we got to come out here this place is beautiful. Definitely one of the most beautiful places iv sean" she said an almost dream like look on her face.
She shook her head and refocused on Sol is there a reason you don't want me to meet your family? She asked.

He leaned back nervously, "its not that I don't want you to meet them. Its just, you make it seem like you have to meet them." He looked down, "Obi-Wan, never took his girlfriend, well, wife, home to meet them." He laughed, "I don't they even noticed that he is married."
He frowned, "mother would've though. But father, father is focused on work. He has been since mother was killed."
His frowned deepened, "I mean, the extended family is fine, I guess. But the last two years I was home, father would come home, go to bed, and be gone for work before I woke up the next morning."
"Obi-Wan and I, well we watched it all fall apart after mother died," he explained. "Father tried for a few months. Maybe even a year, but after that. He just, well, disappeared."

Astra took his hand. " iv never had a family at all so I kinda would like to see who yours are " she said.
Astra took Sol's hand in hers. " I'm sorry your father did that to you that not right. It's probably a good idea that I never meet that man so I don't do sumthing Dumb" she said a look of consurn on her face.
" I know you miss your mom were the two of you close. Is there anyway I can help make you feel better" Astra asked it bothered her to see him like he was she did not want him to feel pain. After everything he had gone through for her she only wanted to make him happy now.

He smiled softly at her, "I was close to her. Closer than Obi-Wan was. He was the first born and as such, he would carry our name. So while he was pushing and training, I got to spend more time with my mother. She was an incredibly kind woman. She used to lead these humanitarian missions to the Outer Rim. Work with her fellow Nobles to raise money and help communities out here that were struggling."
He gazed in to her eyes, "you are doing everything right."
