RE: Lucien "Luc" Enjolras

Luc stepped out on the motel porch and breathed in the frigid night air. Amelia's questioning of Sergeant Cunningham of the 1st Skye Jeagers had been nothing short of masterful. Not only had he learned the names of potential suspects as a result, he had learned a great deal about the tactics and strategy of the New Earth Defense Force, or NEDF.
Luc recalled the day's events with a smile. Finding time alone with Kimiko Tetsuhara Death was nothing short of impossible. If he didn't know better, Luc would think himself a prisoner under guard. Finally, he found a moment alone with Kimiko and seized the opportunity to ardently pledge his loyalty to her should she come to lead New Earth in the coming months. Understandably, Luc was having a difficult time proving to her that he was not just another Lyran spy, but a man of principle. When masked Militia arrived with intelligence for Luzia Nagel, it wouldn't be long before he would come to realize that he had begun to make headway after all.
When Luzia showed Luc photographs of his team at the Terran Alliance Museum and a doomsday device, she accused him of withholding information, and it was all he could do to contain his frustration. He'd gone out of his way to help the Separatists; was this the trust he'd earned? That was only his first impulse, and it wasn't long before Luc's rational mind kicked in with a healthy dose of logic. Why should Luzia trust him? Actions would speak louder than words, and Luc would prove himself true.
Of course, when Luzia confiscated his personal communicator with the admonition that his team was nothing but trouble, he knew that this was going to be a hard sell, and it wouldn't be sold today. Kimiko emerged from the hotel room in which they were staying, passing Luc his com and handing him her keys. Ensuring that Brandy would be waiting for him at her hotel, he and Amelia climbed to the roof and took off in Kimiko's shiny red sports VTOL. They picked up Brandy and made their way to the museum.
Amelia managed to pick off the 1st Skye Jeager security detail from the air. Her sniper skill was uncanny. The three made their way into the museum, and a battle ensued. They managed to get the attention of the terrorists, drawing fire away from their wounded teammates. In a maneuver that was equal parts brave and foolish, a maddened Luc broke cover and made a running attack, killing one of the 1st Skye Jaegers that was a threat to his wounded CO, Captain Douglas MacAllister.
When the dust cleared, Luc and Amelia disappeared with the sole survivor among the terrorists, Sergeant Cunningham. Brandy stayed behind to help explain how the victory had been possible to the local authorities. With Sergeant Cunningham bound, they locked her in Kimiko's trunk and made their way back to the hotel. Leaving their prisoner in the trunk, they returned to the balcony and found Kimiko. With her permission, they borrowed her vehicle once more, leaving for the motel at which they now found themselves. Luc was grateful for Amelia's company, but his heart longed to stay by Kimiko's side. Did she need him, or did he need her?
