RE: Star Crossed Lovers
She blinked for a moment, nearly confused by the request. She shifted to face him as her mind raced with the possibilities. Her eyes widened at the realization of what he was talking about. She brushed his hand away softly, "I can't," she said softly and slowly moved away from him. "I won't," there was a hint of anger but unlike before, it was tempered greatly by her love for him. "What would you think of me, if I were to betray someone I held so highly."
She turned from him and gazed out over the massive trees of her world, "Does not my loyalty and honor mean nothing? You see this war in black and white. Good and evil, right and wrong." She turned back towards him, revealing the tears in her eyes. "I can't" she said with great guilt in her heart. "I wasn't there for them," she said speaking of Graff and Jenna, "when they needed me the most. Because of that, Jenna lost her baby. For all that Graff and Jenna had done for me, I wasn't there for them. Now I will not make that mistake again."
She crawled forward and placed her finger softly on Jaden's lips to silence his protest, "I know what you think. I am not choosing them over you. I am love you. Since Olivan, I have known this to be true. But I also love them. They are as much my family as you are my future." She paused a moment, then added, "I would never ask you to betray your brother and join us. Please don't ask me to betray my family when they have done nothing to deserve this."
She shifted her weight as she pulled her finger from his lips. She leaned back and set on her legs, "I don't agree with the Republic, or the Jedi. I can't give my blades to them. Regardless of how I feel about Graff's since he returned from Coruscant, I have seen nothing to suggest that I can't trust him. I won't betray him." Jaden could feel great conflict within her heart over this issue. It ran deep within her and consumed much of her heart. She looked down with sadness in her eyes, "please don't ask me to make this choice. I...." she paused for a moment, "no one understands why, I can't......"
