He wasn't sure, but it appeared to Master Stephen that Duncan had taken a harsher tone. Instead of facing the possible conflict, he turned to Unna. "Marshal Haze takes caring for these people," he said with almost a disdain in his voice regarding the people of Fray. "Nearly two thirds of my budget here on this world is spent on them."
He gave Duncan a glance before turning back to Unna, "these people are so ungrateful. I have personally worked so hard to bring them a little bit of the Core, and they would protest and destroy things." He leaned forward, "did you know that they actually bathed in the Garden of a Thousand Fountains. Their only true gift of culture to the rest of the galaxy, and these people bathed in the Fountains. It took my Jedi here months to clean them and rid the water of that odor."
He leaned back, "than that busy bee. That little mouthy busy bee" he said as he brought his hand to his chin. "What was her name, "blista? Fista....whatever, They called her Their Lady. She was a ever present thorn in my side. Always begging for more money for 'Her People'. Well if they were her people, why not have them get to work instead of sitting at home and complaining all the time."
He frowned, "I never liked her, but sometimes I wish she never committed suicide. Her death has caused me so much more problems." His sadness over the death of Lady Baku was honest. "I disliked her and her endless begging for more. But I sometimes wish she was still around. It was so much easier to control the people with her around than now."
He drew in a deep breath as he turned back to Duncan. "Guardian Export has many divisions. Yes some of them are military in purpose. That doesn't mean anything. And Honestly, I would rather a real army take the place of our role out there in the Outer Rim. If it wasn't for Baku, I would not find this posting very pleasant. As for Marshal Haze, he is a good man with a heart of gold. Did you know that he created a program that allowed youth of Fray to be educated and given skills that will help them rebuild their broken world. And might I add, a world they broke, themselves."
