RE: Unified, The Cabal Stands (Richard and Rebecca)
Rebecca took in a few deep breaths while she tried to will her heart back under control. Unlike other times where casting magic was hard for her. This time, casting her spells actually took a physical toll on her. Feeling the Abyss touch her very being bothered her deeply. It left a cold sense of sadness on her very soul. A feeling that she would clearly not seek out again. However she also learned what it felt like, which she knew would help her in the future. She repositioned her body so that she could rest on her knees as she righted her back.

She searched the clearing for any signs that her spell casting had caused harm. She was grateful that her spell that had been tainted by the abyss didn't cause any harm. Still she was left questioning if she would be able to do the same in an actual situation. She reached down and took hold of her shirt. She pulled her shirt up towards her nose and whipped the blood from it. As she watched her hands, she couldn't help but looked closely at the Atlantian Runes that were glowing on her arms. She took a good long look at them as she wondered what they meant. She figured it had to be some kind of punishment for her willful act here in the clearing. She made a point to look them up later to make sure of her understanding of them.

Letting her shirt go, she looked down the path leading to the hollow with disappointment as she failed to see or hear from Richard. "I guess I will be out here alone" she said softly in disappointment. She struggled to raise to her feet after her series of tests. "No matter" she said as she resumed her T'ai Chi Ch'uan movements. She made a point to keep her movements slow and even. "So the Abyss is chaos. If I master order, can I counter the effects of the Abyss" she wondered as she tried to remember the steps from her class back in university. In her mind, she could hear nature around her. She focused on the sounds of the birds, and the wind moving through the trees. Her other thought was on the guardian as she tried to remember her conversation with the guardian.
