Physical Description: Tall and imposing, his barrel chested build implies mass to those who look on him. He keeps his hair short and slicked back and wears a short trimmed beard. Not one for ceremony, he is normally found in his shorts about the drop ship, though he resorts to generic fatigues in more public settings.

Personality: Having grown up amongst rowdy mercenaries and spent little time in a civilian setting he has little use for niceties. He tends to be brazen and direct and doesn't often spare the feelings of others. His mercenary lifestyle has taught him an efficiency one normally only finds amongst clanners. He is also intensely loyal to his lancemates, treating them like family and rushing into combat to take the brunt of the fire off his allies.
Family: The Wagner's Aesir mercenary unit has been his family all his life
Biography: Alan, named for his great-grandfather, is the "heir" to the Wagner's Aesir mercenary unit. He grew up inside mechs, cleaning and repairing them, and as he got older he was taught to pilot them. His family eventually sent him to the Nagelring for a full military education and training. Upon the successful completion of his training he returned to the Aesir a fully trained Mechwarrior.
He began taking on missions with the Aesir, and after proving himself in his first campaign, his father awarded him a Battlemaster expecting him to command his own personal lance. Alan considered accepting until he was made aware of the exploration mission. Jumping at the chance to escape his father's reach he signed on, stealing away with his new Mech.
