Bay looked at Ni's eyes, her giddy expression, the way it almost seemed like she was bouncing even when she was standing still. She was like a little fire that wouldn't be put out.
He put on his best smile and said, "You're right Ni, I'll start doing research on this right away!"
Bay turned and started walking back to the Falcon, his smile evaporated as soon as he had turned. He didn't hold any hope that a lawyer or even a Senator would do very much. It's like Ni said, this was the culture of an entire galaxy. But at least he could keep from dashing Ni's optimist again.
He was an engineer. He solved practical problems. This he could figure out.

Ni skipped alongside him. "Maybe we can talk to Unna!" she added happily, "She is buddies with the chancellor, maybe we can just skip all the red tape and go directly up the chain of command!" She thought about this, then asked, "In the meantime, would you like to rescue this sister? Since your credit thing is risky, I could use my dancing money to pay for her! That way, at least we know one clone is safe!" She beamed down at Bay hopefully.

Bay smiled at Ni, this time genuinely, "Thank you Ni, you really are a kind person," then his smile turned cruel, "but I have something else in mind for a such a sleazy womp rat."
He pulled out the credit chips from his pocket and caught them in the air, "Credit chips aren't the only things I can splice you know?"

Ni's eyes lit up with excitement. "Ooooo, what are you planning, Bugsie!?" She whispered gleefully, "Can I help? I make a good diversion! And if nothing else, I'm super good at talking to people, making arrangements!" She winked.

Bay laughed out loud, the first time in three days.
"My droid is still there. Normally, slicing a bank account is an ordeal, I mean I could do it, but it'd be this whole thing. But, a personal terminal? Hah! That can be busted in like that!" Bay emphasized with a snap of his fingers, "I'm just going to have my little buddy connect to his terminal, make a few adjustments to his personal bank account through it, and leave him a friendly little note saying, 'Please complete the paperwork to free your clones in the next 12 hours. Your credits miss you.'"

"A reverse ransom!" Squealed Ni quietly, struggling to contain her enthusiasm, her eyes shining with praise, "Oh Bugsie!! You are too much fun!! And this Master is just an ordinary, unimportant guy who won't have any means or resources to retaliate, right?!" She gave him a congratulatory pat on the back, "You're amazing! Can I watch you work you computer magic?!"

"Oh, um sure..." Bay said as they lowered the platform to the Falcon, his eyebrows furrowed. "Umm... do you know what a Senate's IOC is? The woman mentioned that before, but I wasn't really sure what that meant. I'll make sure he won't be able to trace us, but she said this guy is a ranking member on it. Do you think he'll cause trouble to the people he freed?"

"Hmmm, I don't know, but Senate IOC kinda sounds like a pretty important and extraordinary title..." replied Ni warily, a tinge of doubt in her voice, "And if he is part of the government, its probably very dangerous to cross him like that. I've dated enough politicians to know that they usually don't like it when they feel their power is threatened, and they are especially nasty about their possessions..." she raised an eyebrow at him pointedly, "And this guy sounds a lot meaner than the politicians I've dated..." She sighed and stared at the ground thoughtfully as they continued to walk.

Bay pursed his lips again, "I think I'll do some research on this guy before we do anything then, just to be safe."
Bay walked to the Engineering station and connected to the HoloNet and began doing an in-depth research on Senate IOC position and related activities.
