Ashla approched her master. "Master, I need to tell you something. I had Tod's data pad fixed. Not many people knew this but she was talking with someone who had helped us out in the past. The person would give her information that Tod shared with the group. I don't know how much was shared or what transpired. However, thanks to Cox and Bay, they repaired it. I sent out a message to the person informing them that Tod was no longer with us, mostly because I felt it would be the right thing to do. Since Tod and this person seemed to be friendly with each other, this person could have been one of her friends," she explained.
"Well that explains how she was able to find us in order to help us with our little bug problem." Duncan replied. He remembered when they were on Olivan and Tod's friend helped them while they were in the temple. He was still concerned about her desire for chaos however. "Ashla can you bring me that data pad. I want to see if I can get some information from our benefactor."
Ashla listened to her master's words. "Then I'd say it's a good thing that I got it repaired and sent the message. If I hadn't the bug might have gone unnoticed." She heard her master's request. "Of course I can." She took the datapad out, walked over to Duncan, and handed it to him. "Here you go master." She was hoping to keep in communication, but she didn't know anything about them nor was she a tech or hacker like Tod had been.
With that Duncan opened the data pad. He didn't know if this mysterious individual would respond or not. But it was a possible resource he was going to try and use. He looked around checking to see if there were any messages awaiting him or even Tod. After a few moments he began typing away in the messenger. The message was simple my team and I want to get into the palace. I need to know what the best infiltraion and exit points with the greatest chances of success are.
Quote:Always asking for things that you know I wont give you.
a moment later
Quote:I don't mind helping you, but as it stands you owe me. You want in to the palace, good luck. It is heavily guarded against all forms of attack. But the real question should be what lurks under the Palace. have you noticed a number of refugees that have gone missing? This place has a long history of darkness. Any measure of attack would drew monsters from the shadows. If you are lucky, you will be able to get out without anyone knowing you were there in the first place.
another moment later
Quote:I guess the best advice I can give is, get in when they don't suspect you. Choose your entrance wisely. Then get out as fast as you can with what ever you are seeking.
Duncan accessed the information that Bay had collected on the city and focused on that of the palace and specifically looking around for any underground access.
